Alissa Keaton, CMT-200

My approach

Grounded in a personal practice that fosters calm, resilience, and self-compassion, I bring mindfulness into my work as a trauma therapist and certified teacher, and I’m grateful to share these practices with others.

My mindfulness training and teaching experience:

I earned my 200-hour mindfulness teacher certificate from Midwest Alliance for Mindfulness in 2022. I’ve read a number of books and attended mindfulness events and workshops over the years and find my mindfulness practice informs my work as a trauma therapist.

My mindfulness journey

My first experience with mindfulness was in a yoga class when I was 19 years old and I’ve been practicing in some capacity ever since. My mindfulness practice is a core component of my self-care and has helped me cultivate a sense of calm and well-being in my life. Mindfulness has helped me navigate difficulties in my life with self-compassion and resilience and I feel grateful for opportunities to share mindfulness with others.
