Shane Ledford, CMT-200, CYT-200 (he/him)

My approach

Shane enjoys offering casual teachings with discussions around Nature, philosophy, and occasional pop culture references.

My mindfulness training and teaching experience:

Shane has read numerous books and attended several mindfulness workshops with prominent teachers including Jack Kornfield, and a weeklong retreat with Jon Kabat-Zinn. He eventually received his 200-hour yoga teacher certification, and has been teaching yoga and mindfulness since 2014. During that time he has also taken advanced courses in Yin Yoga, which is a slower and more meditative style of yoga. He has also studied walking meditation (“Kinhin”) and Forest Therapy (“Shinrin-Yoku”). In December 2020 he received his 200-hour Mindfulness Teacher Training certification from the Midwest Alliance for Mindfulness.

My mindfulness journey

After many years of being on the planet as well as sitting behind a desk in a sales job, Shane went on a search for that “something that was missing.” By good fortune he felt he found that something when he walked into his very first yoga class at a studio in Tokyo. Upon returning to the States, he immediately searched for and found classes in yoga and meditation.
