My teaching is rooted in compassion practices and creativity. I am so glad to have a community to practice with and love coordinating our social events at the Midwest Mindfulness Collective.
I specialize in trauma informed mindfulness & yoga, mindful creative expression. I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training with True Love Yoga and attended MAM’s 200-Hour Mindfulness Teacher Training Certification Program. Having a history of working with survivors of domestic violence, I create a trauma-informed space wherever I teach.
To me, practicing mindfulness is like coming home. Through my practice I deeply connect to my experiences and am uncovering layers of myself in the process. My personal mindfulness practice has aided my growth as a therapist and teacher tremendously over the past years. I carry my practice with me wherever I go. Having lived in various places around the world, mindfulness has kept me steady throughout inevitable change. I grew up in Germany and received my higher education in the Netherlands. However, my mindfulness journey started here in the US, where I took my first yoga class in Tupelo, Mississippi as an exchange student. Since then, I have practiced yoga and mindfulness around the world, from Germany, the Netherlands, and the Czech Republic, to India and Nicaragua, finally landing in Kansas City.
